Washington: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were spotted heading to the Maldives with their new partners Brad Falchuk and Dakota Johnson, and it proves that all separations don’t have to be ugly and full of drama.
According to a report by Page Six, the happy couples were spotted arriving on the islands just before Christmas and are also spending their New Years there.
Paltrow and Martin, who share two children Apple and Moses, finalised their divorce in July 2016. The two have since moved on in their respective lives.
While Paltrow is now married to American television writer Falchuk, Martin is dating the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ actor Dakota Johnson.
The news of the couples vacationing together did not come as a surprise since in December Paltrow had hinted that the newlyweds would be spending Christmas with the Coldplay singer. In an Instagram post promoting holiday shopping on her Goop website, the ‘Iron Man’ actor posed in front of a fireplace hung with five stockings, one each for Paltrow, Falchuk, Martin, and the two kids.’
According to People, this is not the first time the group decided to hang out together. The four also spent Thanksgiving together. “They’re a total modern family and had a great time celebrating together,” the magazine quoted a source as saying.
Announcing their divorce back in 2016, Paltrow and Martin in a joint statement asserted, “We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
