The Telugu Yuvatha today urged Governor E S L Narasimhan to take immediate action against Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of Sri Venkateshwara University for allegedly involved in irregularities in appointment of professors and assistant professors.
In a letter addressed to the Governor, Telugu Yuvatha State secretary Maddipatla Suryaprakash and three others, said a notification was issued to fill 150 posts, including professors, assistant professors and associate professors. There were r reports that posts were being sold with the connivance of University vice-chancellors and registrar, they alleged. They also urged the Governor to stall the appointments till completion of election process. (NSS)
