Guv urged people to inculcate reading habit

Governor E S L Narsimhan inaugurated the third edition of Hyderabad Literary Festival on Friday at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU). The 3-day Literary Festival is being participated by over 100 writers, artists, scholars, and publishers from India and abroad. The three-day multilingual event will focus on writings in Indian languages.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Literary Festival Governor E S L Narsimhan hoped that the festival would help re-ignite the reading habit which has almost declined thanks to technological advancements such as E-mail, internet etc.

Well-known poet and Jnanapith awardee Sitakant Mahapatra delivered the key-note address. MAANU Vice-Chancellor Mohammed Miyan and Chandana Khan, secretary, tourism and culture, government of Andhra Pradesh also addressed the gathering.
