Hyderabad, February 1: On the complaint of irregularities in the computer centres and libraries of Urdu academy, government has decided to scrutinize the performance of all computer centres and libraries, through any private institution.
In this connection government has decided to obtain services of students and experts belonging to research department of Osmania University or Urdu University. Letter has been sent to the two universities in this regard.
It is said that 84 computer centres and 70 libraries are working in the state under Urdu academy. It has been decided to scrutinize their performance and audit their records so that government may get true information about the amount spent on them.
Government has sought opinion of chartered accountant and institutions offering professional services and requested them to send their quotation to director secretary Urdu academy within one week. It is said that complaints have been received from several districts that extra salaries are obtained by the academy showing more than the actual number of staff in computer centres and libraries.
