Guv opens 65-bed ICU block at Gandhi, Hopes Arogya Telangana in two years

Governor, ESL Narasimhan today said Gandhi Hospital, which was in dire straits when Telangana was formed is now equipped with latest equipment and machinery for common people. Efforts of the government leading the State to become “Arogya Telangana” in two years, he said.

“I will take treatment in this hospital and people can avail the facility”, he said and appealed to the media to avoid sensation or hype showing petty things in binoculars.  The Governor launched a 65-bed ICU Special block at Gandhi Hospital along with Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy and officials. He interacted with doctors about the functioning and price of the special machinery and equipment arranged in the ICU block.

Later talking to media persons, Narasimhan said, “There might be small and petty issues with regard to Public Health and we will find solution to serve the people. Soon the State will set records in health sector by offering the best services to the people”, he hoped. He said the hospital staff, including officials should be more responsible towards the people. Health sector in the State was making rapid changes adopting latest machinery and offering the best services.

Since health is important, services with equipment will prove handy. Similar facilities will be provided in district headquarters and primary health centers in towns. In the first year, the infant State spent time for adjustment, began works in second year and results being found now in third year, Narasimhan said. The State government was making sincere efforts in this regard to bring significant changes in the health sector to provide corporate level treatment, operations and services. (NSS)
