Governor ESL Narasimhan today extended invitations to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu to attend a dinner party being accorded in honour of President Pranab Mukherjee on his arrival at Raj Bhavan on June 30 at 7 pm. The Governor asked the two Telugu Chief Ministers to turn up to the important program along with their spouses.
As expected, Naidu who skipped to join the team of Narasimhan, KCR and officials to welcome the President on his arrival on Monday afternoon, is most likely to refrain from attending the Tuesday event at Raj Bhavan. Since being at loggerheads and to avoid embarrassment of cash to vote scam that rattled the Telugu Desam Government Naidu is to avoid this mega event it is learnt.
Narasimhan also forwarded the invitations to ministers of Centre and two states. The dinner is to honour the President who is to stay put in here for a 10-day stint in Rashtrapathi Bhavan in Bollaram here. (NSS)
