Guv expedites formation of Minority Commission

Hyderabad, January 29: State government has expedited the formation of Minority Commission however it faces difficulty in finalizing the name of chairman. It is said that the government has finalized the names of Minority Commission members. While various contenders are busy defending their claims for the post of chairman.

Sources told that the chief minister, as per the recommendation of National Minority Commission, has decided for the speedy formation of State Commission.

According to sources the government wants to appoint any retired judge of Supreme Court or High Court for the post of chairman.

However the difficulty arises in the selection of chairman as the age limit of 65 years has been set. The retire judge of Supreme Court who is in the fray has crossed 65 years of age but the chairman should also be expert in law. In this situation the government is considering over appointment of an IAS or retired IAS official for the time being.
