Gutha slams Azad on statehood jibe

Hyderabad: TRS leader and MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy condemned as baseless the remarks made by congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad that the TRS did not play any role for the statehood of Telangana. Reacting on Azad’s comments, he sought to know whether the statehood would have achieved, if TRS does not exist and its boss K Chandrasekhar Rao continued his fight for a long period.

He said that the Congress led UPA Government gave statehood by the pressure mounted by KCR through his long driven battle. Reddy fumed at Azad for his remarks that statehood was granted at the behest of the congress fight and not with the KCR pressure. He also flayed Azad for stating that the congress leaders sacrificed for the statehood fight and finally the TRS gained.

There is no truth in the congress comments that the KCR Government failed to keep promises, give reservations to Muslims and deceived people he said. The Congress fears the polls and making false allegations he charged.
