Gurugram: Gunman Mahipal sent to 14-day judicial custody

Gurugram: Gunman Mahipal, who shot an additional session judge’s wife and son in Gurugram, has been sent to 14-day judicial custody.

On October 5, the Gurugram Police detained the assailant’s mother and cousin for interrogation.

The police arrested the gunman on Saturday and said that they are yet to ascertain the motive behind the crime.

The incident took place on October 13, when the additional sessions judge Krishan Kant’s wife Ritu and their 18-year-old son Dhruv had gone to shopping in Gurugram’s Sector 49.

The gunman opened fire and injured both of them. While the judge’s wife was pronounced dead, the son of the additional sessions judge has been declared brain dead and put on life support system.
