Gurgaon: Spa centres, Nightclubs raided for running illegal business

Gurgaon: 15 people including 5 foreigners were arrested from Sector 29 in Gurgaon for allegedly running sex trade in a spa center on Thursday.

Apart from five women hailing from Thailand, the police also included five women from Manipur, one from Uttar Pradesh and two males involved in the illegal business and two customers said a police official, PTI reported.

Gurgaon Police PRO Subhash Bokan speaking about the arrest said the raid was conducted on directions of the newly appointed Police Commissioner KK Rao.

“We have registered an FIR under relevant sections of the IPC and the Foreigners Act pertaining to prostitution against the spa owner, Yudhvir Singh who is absconding. We have arrested the spa manager and his helper during the raid,” Bokan said.

The Police is verifying the visas of the arrested foreigners to ascertain if any of them were staying here apart from working visa.

The police also raided two other nightclubs named and arrested seven people for running illegal business.
