Gur prices fall on ample stocks position

New delhi: Gur prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample stocks position.

However, gur prices at Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar remained flat in lacklustre trade.

Marketmen said fresh supplies from manufacturing belts and fall in sugar prices, led to fall in gur prices.

In Delhi, gur Pedi, Dhayya and Shakkar prices were down by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 3,300-3,400, Rs 3,500-3,600 and Rs 3,600-3,700 per quintal respectively.

Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,300-3,400, pedi Rs 3,300-3,400, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,950-3,100, khurpa Rs 2,900-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,100-3,150.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,925-3,000 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
