New delhi: Lethargic conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today following sluggish demand amid restricted supplies.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too settled at previous overnight levels in lacklustre trading.
Marketmen said, muted demand following change in weather mainly kept jaggery prices unchanged.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,200-3,300, pedi Rs 3,100-3,200, dhayya Rs 3,300-3,400 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,550-2,600, chakku Rs 2,875-3,000, khurpa Rs 2,650-2,700 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-2,950.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,750-2,800 and dhayya Rs 2,800-2,850.
