Karachi : New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptill has lavished praise on returned Pakistan player Mohammad Amir, describing him as a `world-class` bowler.
The 23-year-old fast bowler served as the biggest threat to Guptill’s side during Pakistan’s three-wicket defeat in the third and the final ODI. However, New Zealand went on to clinch the series 2-0.
Guptill said that Amir bowled pretty well in the final match and insisted that he was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers, the Express Tribune reported.
Amir, who played his first international series after serving his five-year ban for spot fixing, along with former skipper Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, were found guilty of various offences of corrupt behaviour relating to the Lord’s Test between England and Pakistan in August 2010 by the independent Anti-Corruption Tribunal on February 5, 2011.(ANI)
