Srinagar, February 15: A gunbattle broke out between militants and security forces in Kulgam district of South Kashmir this morning.
The encounter broke out after militants hiding in a house opened indiscriminate fire on a joint search party of police and security forces at Khodwani, 70 km from here, police said.
The exchange of fire was going on.
