Gujjars assaulted for not saying Pakistan Murdabad

Jammu: In an unfortunate incident occurred in Samba district of Jammu & Kashmir, a group of goons holding tricolour publicly assaulted two Gujjars for not saying ‘Pakistan Murdabad’. The incident occurred last Saturday when anti-Pakistan protests were staged in Jammu, Samba and Kathua.

An Urdu newspaper with reference to UNI reported that the 37-second long video of the shameful incident was uploaded on Twitter by social activist Guftar Ahmed Chaudhry. Informing that the incident occurred on February 15, he informed that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu M K Sinha assured strict action against the perpetrators.

IGP Jammu M K Sinha told that he has directed Samba SP to take strict action against the persons involved.

The video shows nearly a dozen goons catching hold of two persons belonging to the Gujjar community and asking them to say ‘Pakistan Murdabad’. But when they try to get away saying that they are in a hurry as their vehicle will leave. The goons beat, kicked and punched them. When the Gujjars tried to escape, the goons chased them and assaulted further.

Surprisingly the video was made by the member of the gang itself.
