Ahmedabad: Ahead of Gujarat Poll Counting, Patidar leader Hardik Patel in a tweet said that if ATMs can be hacked then why can’t EVMs.
He wrote that people will laugh on his words but no one will think sincerely. He also wrote, when the human body which is created by God can be manipulated then why it is not possible to tamper EVMs? “If ATMs can be hacked they why can’t EVMs”, he questioned.

According to the report published in Zee News, he further claimed that in Gujarat’s Patel and Adivasi regions, attempts are made to hack EVM machines via source codes.
Responding to these allegations, Avantika Singh, Collector of Ahmedabad said that the allegations are baseless and no clarification is needed.
It may be mentioned that earlier, in a series of tweets, he alleged that BJP is going to tamper EVMs ahead of Gujarat Poll counting.
“BJP is going to tamper EVMs on Saturday and Sunday nights. BJP will lose Gujarat elections. If no EVM tampering takes place, BJP will win only 82 seats”, he tweeted.

He also wrote that BJP’s defeat in Gujarat means BJP’s fall. He further said that by tampering EVM, BJP will win Gujarat election whereas, in Himachal election, it will lose so that no question arises.

Gujarat elections were held in two phases on 9th and 14th December. Results of both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections will be declared on December 18.
