New Delhi [India]: On the second day of his three-day Gujarat visit, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will interact with the rural dairy farmers as well as the intellectuals, businessman, and entrepreneurs of the state.
The Gandhi scion will begin his day with a meeting with workers and supporters at Rampur Patia in Jamnagar district at 10:15 a.m, followed another meeting with workers and supporters at Gandhi Chowk, in Dhrol municipality, at 11:00 a.m.
After the two meetings in Jamnagar district, Gandhi will then proceed to Morbi district to attend a Kisan Sabha in Tankara at 12:30 pm, followed by an interactive session with dairy farmers at Pipalia Raj village at 1:45 p.m.
At 4;30 p.m., he will hold a meeting with elected cooperative representatives at Milk Plant, near Amarsar Railway crossing.
The day will end with an interactive session with intellectuals, businessmen, and entrepreneurs at Hemu Gadhavi Hall in Rajkot, scheduled to be held at 7:30 p.m.
Arriving on Monday, the Congress VP kick-started his three-day election campaign at Saurashtra.
After offering prayers at the Dwarkadhish Temple, Gandhi went on to address a road show in the city where he castigated the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)- led government over a range of topics including unemployment, agrarian distress, demonetisation, and goods and Services Tax (GST).
Gandhi’s election campaign in Gujarat is part of the Congress party’s poll campaign ahead of the assembly elections slated to be held later this year.
The much awaited assembly elections in Gujarat will be held towards the end of 2017 or January, 2018. The dates will be announced officially by the Election Commission few months prior to it. (ANI)
