New Delhi : Intex Technologies-owned Gujarat Lions has announced Oxigen Services, the leading digital payment solutions company, as its ‘Title Sponsor’ for next month’s ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Besides cricket, Oxigen has also been associated with various sports like football – Kerala Blasters Team for the Indian Super League, hockey during the ‘Hockey India League’, a cricket tournament between India and Sri Lanka, for the specially abled, in alignment with its sports-focused marketing strategy.
Oxigen has also announced a budget of Rs. 100 crores for sports marketing activities for the current fiscal year.
Commenting on their new association,Gujarat Lions owner Keshav Bansal said, “We are very happy to have a leading brand like Oxigen to be associated with Gujarat Lions as the title sponsor. Considering the synergy between the two leading brands in consumer technology space, it is indeed a value addition to the Gujarat Lions.”

Ankur Saxena , Director and Chief Mentor of Oxigen Wallet, also expressed his views on the new development.

As the newest entrant in the league, the team is fully prepped to perform and showcase its best talent under the guidance of captain Suresh Raina and its coach Brad Hodge.
Earlier, Pune’s New Rising and Rajkot’s Intex won the bid of the two new franchises for the next two editions of the IPL.
The IPL 2016 is slated to be held from April 9 to May 29. (ANI)
