Vadodara, April 03: The Gujarat Government has invited proposals for making investment in new medical colleges in the state, Health Minister Jaynarayan Vyas said today.
Vyas, who was here for a function, said the proposals in this regard would be cleared within ten days, adding, whoever is interested should seize this opportunity.
At least 15 new medical colleges are expected to come up in the state over the next couple of years, said Vyas.
“The government has decided to go ahead with its proposal to set up eight new medical colleges in the next couple of years,” he said, adding that the state government would open these colleges on merits as emphasised by the chairman of Medical Council of India (MCI).
