CPM National General Secretary Seetharam Yechury said that the GST Bill would badly impact the revenues of all States in the country.
Addressing the inaugural session of Telangana CPM’s extended session at Sangareddy of Medak district here on Sunday, Yechury said alleged that the Congress was support the NDA Government in passing the GST Bill in the Parliament. He said that the CPM would strongly oppose the Bill.
Yechury accused the BJP Government at the Centre of encouraging communalism in the country. He said Prime Minister Narender Modi has been aligning with the capitalist regimes while neglecting the neighbouring countries. He expressed fears that the Foreign Direct Investments would erode the job opportunities for the local youth.
The CPM leader also slammed the TRS Government and accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of not running administration in a proper manner. He stressed the need for strengthening the CPM in Telangana State.
The meeting was also addressed by CPM Politburo member BV Raghavulu, State Secretary T. Veerabhadram and others. (INN)
