Nearly 72.51 per cent of candidates appeared for the Group-I preliminary examination conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission across the State on Sunday.
According to the APPSC, as many as 1,73,265 candidates appeared for the examination held at 740 centres across the State went off peacefully. The exams were held from 10.30 am to 1 am. The candidates would compete for 314 Group-I posts in the State.
The results of prelims are likely to be announced in the last week of June and Group-I main examinations will be conducted from September 3 to 12. (INN)
