Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is likely to issue notification for Group I posts soon. Deck has been cleared for filling up the posts. It is expected that by 31st December, APPSC will issue notification in this regard.
Govt. of AP has approved the changes in the pattern of written test for Group I. In the past, there used to be a paper carrying 150 marks in screening test. Now, there will be two papers of 120 marks each.

Earlier, in addition to English paper which was the qualifying paper, five more papers carrying 150 marks each used to be conducted. Now, along with English paper there will also be a Telugu paper carrying 150 marks. There is a condition of obtaining qualifying marks in both the papers. For the remaining five papers, 150 marks have been allocated for each paper.
It is reported that Govt. approved the changes made in the Group I syllabus. GAD issued orders in this regard. This paves the way for APPSC to issue notification for filling up posts falling under Group I services.
