Hyderabad, January 04: A dispute over a petty issue led to a clash between two groups belonging to different communities at Nagamayakunta in Chikkadpalli tonight.
Following the incident CRPF and RAF troops were deployed in the area to prevent further trouble.
According to sources the trouble began after a group of persons from Nagamayakunta objected to a DCM van being parked in the middle of the road at Fatima Nagar. The vehicle owner and his associates attacked the other group. At around 8 p.m. the DCM was damaged by the group from Nagamayakunta. Subsequently at around 10:30 p.m. the group from Fatima Nagar started pelting stones and damaging the vehicles on the road leading to panic in the area. On receipt of information police forces, including CRPF and RAF, were rushed to the spot, who brought the situation under control. It is learnt that some furniture was also damaged in a place of worship. “CRPF and RAF have been deployed and the situation is under control,” Deputy Commissioner of Police M K Sinha told Express.
