Chennai: K.Rafee, a 36-year-old man was attacked by a three-member gang, who came on the bikes and snatched his cash bag containing Rs 60 lakh on Thursday night, according to the report published in DC.
The victim is a resident of Palaniyappan Street in Seven wells and working at a wholesale mobile shop at seven wells. Since the shop distributes mobile phones to various outlets, he had gone to collect the cash and was returning to the shop on Thursday, said the police.
When Mr Rafee was riding his two-wheeler at Anaikaran street in Seven Wells on Thursday at around 10.30 pm, three men in two bikes stopped him and tried to snatch the cash bag in his possession. When he resisted, one of them used a sharp knife and slit his wrist and stomach.
