On hearing the tragic news, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his shock over loss of lives in the fire accident at Warangal. In a message, the CM conveyed condolences to the members of the bereaved families and directed the officials to provide best medical facilities for the injured at the government expenses.
He also instructed the Collector Haritha to take up relief and rehabilitation measures immediately. The CM announced Rs 5 lakh ex gratia each for the deceased families and also assured help in all respects.
Dy CM Kadiam seeks report after probe
Deputy Chief Minister of Education Kadiam Srihari today expressed his deep shock at the fire mishap at Bhadrakali Fire Works godown at Koti Lingala in Warangal district. He rushed to the accident spot and asked the officials to ensure that the wounded people are shifted to the hospital and provide medical services. He also sought a report after conducting an inquiry in the accident.
Local MLA Challa Dharma Reddy said the incident was very unfortunate. He expressed doubt whether permission was given to the fireworks godown. The legislator said some of the nearby houses and television sets were damaged in the accident.
Collector Haritha said they could not identify the bodies. Rescue operations are on to extract the bodies under the debris and bodies were shifted to MGM Hospital. Most of the victims were women met with the fatal accident, she said. The kin will get needed support as per norms. (NSS)
