Grenade explosion in police station kills two constables

Karimnagar, June 22: A grenade exploded inside a police station at Dharmapuri in Karimnagar on Tuesday, killing two Andhra Pradesh Special Police head constables.

Prima facie, the explosion is believed to be an accident, according to police. One of the two constables, 51-year-old head constable B Sattiah was killed on the spot. The other head constable, Ch Rajappa died while being treated for his injuries at the hospital. He was 50.
Sattaiah belonged to Yousufguda in Hyderabad.

On receiving information about the explosion, the District Superintendent of Police rushed to the spot. He has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
