Hyderabad: Jamiat Ulama-e-Deccan represented with Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali demanding removal of illegal occupation from graveyard attached to Dargah Hazrat Syed Shah Shareefuddin Husaini Quadri.
A delegation led by General Secretary of the Jamiat Mr. Mohammed Fazaluddin Ahmed called on Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali and submitted a memorandum stating that the graveyard is recorded in Waqf gazette dated 2001. But some elements are encroaching upon the graveyard. They have set up a shed by razing the graves. Two huts and three kiosks have also been put up in an area of graveyard.
The delegation revealed that in April last year Municipal Commissioner of Medak had slapped notices against illegal occupants and had warned to demolish the construction if clarification is not given within 7 days. No action has been even after a year has passed since then.
