Graveyard encroached by swindlers

On Monday, T Surya Prakash, a resident of Abdul Sagar,Nampally urged the Hyderabad district administration to protect a graveyard from land sharks.

He met additional joint collector (AJC) G Rekha Rani during ‘Mee Kosam’, a weekly grievance redressal programme, and requested her to protect the land.

He said that the double-dealer had already gobbled up 5.38 acre graveyard land and efforts were on to encroach upon another 250 square yards. The officer after listening to the plea responded and directed the Hyderabad revenue divisional officer (RDO) to inspect the graveyard and submit a detailed report.

Meanwhile,a letter has been written by Mohammed Mahmood Ali MLC (TRS) to the Hyderabad collector to upgrade 57 madrasas as residential special training centres (RSTCs) to get more funds from the central government.

In the meantime, a woman from Uppuguda, named Deepu, who had lost her husband in a train mishap, approached the district administration and sought financial aid under the Apathbandhu scheme as she has two children.
