Hyderabad, January 7: A hadeeth of prophet Mohammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) says: “If any one of you were to sit on a live coal until it burns his garment, that would be better for him than to sit on a grave.” [Jami at-Tirmidhi – sahih hadith].
A famous saint rests in peace in Dargah Hazrat Yousufain. There is a graveyard adjacent to it. There was a chaukhandi in the premises inside which was a shrine. The relatives of the resident of shrine live in Aurangabad. Whenever they arrive in Hyderabad they also visit their ancestor’s shrine. According to them their forefather’s shrine is 100 year old.
As usual when they visited Hyderabad this time they were shocked to see that there was no sign of their forefather’s shrine the land has been leveled. Apart from this a punching bag was hanging on the top of chaukhandi. By inspecting the place it seems that some youth practice boxing daily at the place.
When the caretakers of the place were contacted they told that the family comes once in a year to visit the shrine and we couldn’t get a suitable place to hang the punching bag so we hanged this here.
It should be noted that there is 30834 sqyd land under Dargah Hazrat Yousufain.
