Hyderabad, November 6: Every tourist who visits Salarjang museum can’t stop himself from paying tributes to the founder of marvelous museum Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan Salarjang III. His grave is at Salarjung premises located at Daera Hazrat Mir Momin, Sultan Shahi.
When our correspondent went there he was shocked to find that a scooter was standing near the grave and carpets, napkins of children and other clothes have been laid on this grave and the graves surrounding it for drying purpose. As soon as our correspondent took out the camera a man started removing the clothes from the graves.
Salarjung premises spread over 2 acre land in which aashurkhana, mosque bathroom and azakhana are also president. 5 prime ministers of Hyderabad state had been laid to rest in the premises. Nawab Laeq Khan II, Nawab Yousuf Ali Khan Salarjang III, Nawab Turab Ali Khan Salarjang I, Nawab Aalam Ali Khan Sherjang and others.
Some people are residing in the graveyard and have built their toilet and bathroom in the graveyard itself. The filthy water flows through the graveyard. Sadly state government and museum officials have turned a blind eye to this desecration of graves.
