Grant of 634 crore rupees for Minority Welfare Dept. recommended

Hyderabad, January 17: Minority Welfare department has made recommendation with the department of finance to grant a budget of 634 crore rupees for minority welfare department. In the budget proposal for the year 2012-13 secretary minority welfare Dr. Mohammad Ali Raffath presented some new proposals for the first time including formation of commissionerate of minority welfare.

In the new proposals a grant in aid of 13.20 crores for AP State waqf board, 80 crore rupees for repairs and fencing of mosques, churches and graveyards, are included.

The department of minority welfare department has also recommended extra budget for various schemes of minority commission, Finance Corporation, Urdu academy, waqf tribunal and 49 lakhs for salaries of Makkah masjid and Shahi masjid workers.
