On its seventh anniversary, daram will be honouring Mr Yellappa, the grand old man of indigo dyeing, at its premises at Boorugu Vihar, Begumpet here at 5 pm on June 7. The 90-year old Yellappa who lives ion Uravakonda village of Anantapur district, is the oldest representative of the traditional indigo vat dyeing practice. He comes from a family of dyers and he has been in the practice since he was 15 years old.
