A grand alliance on cards to take on BJP in Gujarat

Despite Diwali festival is going on in Gujarat, State Congress President Mr. Bharatsingh Solanki leaves no stone untruned to hit out BJP today at party headquater. He confidently announced that Congress will win Assembly election with thumping majority and all set to cross 125 seats and may be more as Patidar, OBC, and Dalit community will support Congress to finish off BJP in state.

Ahead of the crucial Assembly election in Gujarat, a grand alliance seems to be in the making to take on Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He told that Rebel Janata Dal (United) leader Chhotu Vasava, Patidar leader Hardik Patel, OBC leader Alpesh Thakor and Dalit campaigner Jignesh Mevani are in talks with the Gujarat Congress to form an alliance against the BJP before the elections in the state. Even these caste leaders can contest election and Congress will support them. He further told that For NCP. doors were open but NCP has to abide Congress policy and ideology. He also claimed that many leaders of AAP party would join congress in very near future.

“Yes, talks are on and we are seeing how an alliance can take shape. It will certainly have an impact on seat sharing too,”he told a press conference today. Chottubhai Vasava, who voted for Congress’ Ahmed Patel in the Rajya Sabha elections in Gujarat, will be meeting Congress general secretary in-charge of Gujarat Ashok Gehlot and Gujarat Congress president Bharat Solanki to hold discussions on seat-sharing formula.

Vasava, a prominent tribal leader, has been the face of JD(U) in Gujarat. Sharad Yadav-led JD(U) faction last month appointed Vasava as its acting president. Sharad Yadav is keeping a close watch on the developments in Gujarat from Delhi.

Ashok Gehlot and Bharat Solanki are working on the grand alliance which will be finalised during Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s next visit to Gujarat. Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to travel to south of Gujarat in the first week of November.

In his previous two visits to Gujarat in the last few weeks, a large number of Patidars, OBCs (Other Backward Class) and Dalits were seen at Rahul Gandhi’s rallies.

Muslims are no where

As Congress after 22 years in Gujarat is sensing a good show in state Assembly election which is going to be held in coming December. but at the same time It looks that Muslims are still untouchable for Congress and community votes are taken as granted.

There is anxiety and dissatisfaction, disillusion in Muslim masses in Gujarat towards Congress as it has taken soft hindutva line recently in Gujarat and even at national level. Muslims are not getting due share in ticket allotment from Congress. It should be given as population density. Gujarat Congress is wooing Patidar, OBC, Dalits but it has not shown any interest for Muslim votes. is this secularism of Congress? what is the difference between Congress and RSS ideology? Congress is the party of great leaders like Gandhiji, Jawaharlal nehru, Abul kalam Aazad, and Sardar patel. It looks that Congress has lost way.Secularism roots of party is shaking.
