Leader of opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir declared the Grama Jyothi programme as new wine in old bottle and sought clarification from the government regarding ‘Mana Vooru- Mana Pranalika’ scheme. He said that government had launched ‘ Mana Vooru- Mana Pranalika’ programme on July 13, 2014 and now it has suddenly launched Grama Jyothi programme. He asked what was the difference between the two? He asked the reason to stop ‘Mana Vooru- Mana Pranalika’ which began with the cost of Rs. 14658 Cr in the middle. He demanded that the government reveal the reason for the failure of the ‘ Mana Vooru- Mana Pranalika’ programme before beginning Grama Jyothi programme. He blamed chief minister of misleading the public by changing statements.
