GPS gadget nailed Kasab’s lie: Nikam

Mumbai, March 19: A GPS gadget recovered by police from the Kuber boat exposed the claim of lone surviving 26/11 gunman Ajmal Kasab that he was not a terrorist and had come here from Pakistan on a tourist visa, the prosecution told a special court today.

The global positioning system gadget contained data which showed a route from Karachi to Mumbai, special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam told the trial court while concluding his argument on Kasab’s role in the attacks.

The instrument was recovered from Kuber (by which terrorists arrived in Mumbai) at the instance of Kasab and was sent to the US for an expert analysis, Nikam said.

A FBI officer had deposed in the court earlier saying that he had deciphered the data which showed the route from Karachi to Mumbai. This, he said, proved that attackers had come from Pakistan.
