(Siasat News) Chairman of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, Prof. Kodandaram, alleged the Govt. of A.P. that it is taking revenge with Dr. P. Shankar Rao, former Minister of A.P. Govt.
Police resorted to incidence treatment with a senior public representative without taking into consideration his social status. It is very shameful and highly objectionable. He said that C.M. is responsible for this kind of treatment to Dr. P. Shankar Rao. He further told that people of Telangana would teach a lesson to those who are responsible for the arrest of Dr. P. Shankar Rao. He told that Dr. Shankar Rao is a supporter of Telangana and he has raised his voice against the irregularities of the Govt. Action has been taken against him with a planned conspiracy. Police was given a free hand to take revengeful action against DR. P. Shankar Rao.
He further told that while arresting a common citizen, police behaves in a sophisticated manner but the treatment meted out by police to Dr. P. Shankar Rao is shameful. Since Dr. Shankar Rao belongs to Dalith community and he is a supporter of Telangana, the people of higher castes misbehaved with him. Had the police arrested a leader belonging to Seema Andhra, then would it have behaved in the same way? He asked.
Prof. Kodandaram demanded the Govt. to take action against those who arrested him.
