Govt working behind the scenes to harm TRS: KCR

Hyderabad, July 04: Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday said that the suo moto case against party MP Vijayashanti was booked based on the reports published in a leading English daily.

Talking to media persons at the Telangana Bhavan, KCR accused the government of working behind the scenes to malign the TRS.

He accused Chief Minister K Rosaiah of trying to pressurise his party by foisting ‘false’ cases against it, the TRS chief said that this would have no effect on the party’s prospects in the forthcoming by-elections to the 12 Assembly seats in Telangana region.

KCR said that the government’s tactics will have the opposite effect and more and more people will support the TRS.

Claiming that the TRS has the largest support base among the students, KCR described the students like the waves in an ocean. He said that they will come forward over and over again.

The TRS president said more and more people from other parties are joining the party fold each day, because they see the TRS as the only entity which is dedicated to fighting for a separate state and has the most realistic chance of achieving this dream.

KCR further accused both Mr Rosaiah and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu of making noises favourable to Telangana but being against it in reality.
