Govt will revive Urdu Academy: Tummala

 Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao today said the State government will revive Urdu Academy in Hyderabad.

After introducing Urdu Official Language Amendment Bill in the House on behalf of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Tummala said Urdu is the language of all people in the State as they are familiar with it. He said Urdu Academywill be revived with all facilities and funds. The Chief Minister was committed to promotion of Urdu as an official language in the State, he said.

The minister thanked the members of all political parties in the House for their support for the Urdu Official Language Bill in the House that was passed. The Chief Minister, who is fond of Telugu language will make a statement in the House on Telugu language on Friday, he added. (NSS)
