Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today said the Government will extend helping hand to farmers in distress and those who suffered human loss.
Speaking to the media, the minister tried to allay fears that there was no need of panic. The Government is aware of crop loss and deaths and will provide financial assistance to the deceased families, he said. “We are closely watching the situation and losses being occurred due to unseasonal rains. We sought reports from the district Collectors on the losses. The loss of unseasonal rains is causing havoc on standing crops and confusing farmers”, he maintained. The farmers should not worry as the government will help them, he said. (NSS)
