Govt will conduct inquiry into encounter: Nayini

Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy today said the State government will conduct an inquiry into the alleged ‘fake’ encounter in which notorious terrorist Viquaruddin and four other SIMI activists were killed on April 7.
Talking to mediapersons at TRS Bhavan here, Narsimha Reddy said an inquiry will be conducted into the incident. “We are not averse to conduct inquiry into the encounter as there is a hullabaloo by the political parties”, he alleged. The Government will conduct inquiry into the encounter and take action accordingly based on the report, he declared. The government will come with the facts once the report is received, Narsimha Reddy said.
Responding to a query whether he would face axe owing responsibility to the fake encounter, Narsimha Reddy said the issue is under Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s purview. The Chief Minister is supreme and will take any action on who should be in the Cabinet and who should not. “Let our leader take any decision and I will be abide by his word”, a trusted lieutenant said.
