Govt Whip condemns Centre’s nod for Reliance gas supply

Government whip and MLC Rudraraju Padma Raju on Saturday took serious note on the Central Government’s order giving permission to Reliance Gas to extend gas supply to the Ratnagiri power plant in Maharashtra.

Talking to media persons at Assembly premises, Rudraraju Padma Raju said that the decision would aggravate the power crisis in the State. Stating that the decision of Centre would hit 400 MW power production in the State, he appealed to the Centre to immediately withdraw its orders. He sought the intervention of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Sigh to resolve this issue.

Rudraraju also slammed Union Minister for Petroleum and Gas S Jaipal Reddy for giving his nod to the proposal that would affect the interests of State. He appealed to MPs from the State to mount pressure on the government to revoke the orders. (INN)
