New Delhi, November 27: Amid speculation that the second season of the controversial reality show ‘Sach Ka Saamna’ is in the offing, Government today warned Star Plus to keep in mind the Indian ethos and culture while formatting a programme based on an international format, failing which it could invite stringent action.
Ministry for Information and Broadcasting has shot off a letter to Star India officials on whose channel Star Plus, the reality show was aired earlier this year, saying, “the ministry in exercise of powers inter alia, under provisions of uplinking guidelines, the terms and conditions of the permission granted and the provisions of Section 20 of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act 1995, hereby warns Star Plus channel to strictly adhere to the Programme Code prescribed under the said Act.
