Govt suppressing voice of Oppn in House: Uttam

TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that the state government suppressed the voice of Opposition parties in the Legislative Assembly. The senior MLAs were expressing their intolerance on the way the House was being run by the TRS government, he said and claimed that the TRS government was turned the House into TRS Bhavan.

Speaking at Assembly media point here on Saturday, Uttam wondered by asking as to how lodging protest in the House was mistake when beating Governor by T Harish Rao was not a mistake. It was not proper to the Speaker to give mike to Puvvada Ajay Kumar, who joined TRS party from Congress party, when the Congress party members staged walked out protesting the Governor’s speech. He asked Speaker, who failed to initiate action against the members’ defections, to tell as to how the latter will suspend the Congress members.

Reacting on five States results, Uttam said that he congratulated AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi for winning the party in Punjab, Goa and Manipur. (NSS)
