Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali told that government is taking measures to remove encroachments upon government land.
Responding to the question of BJP MLA Raja Singh, Mahmood Ali told that land grabbers have occupied some government land in Gosha Mahal assembly constituency. There are 153 instances of illegal occupation of state land in the area on 52096 sqmt land. Notices have been issued to encroachers.
3000 sqyds land was recovered from illegal occupants in 2011 and the land was handed over to Power Distribution Company. Some occupants have filed case in City Civil Court and the case is pending in the court.
