Govt. softens stand on pvt. Engineering colleges

After getting tough on private engineering colleges, now the Government is forced to soften its stand on in the light of high court judgment.

A delegation of engineering colleges protection committee led by messrs K V R Rao president, Mohammed Abdul Khaleel vice president, Sunil general secretary and N Krishna Rao convenor, met deputy chief minster Mr. Damodar Raj Narsimha, president Pradesh Congress Mr. B Satya Narayana and chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and discussed the issues confronted by private engineering colleges of the state and appealed to exempt those colleges from the task force inspection, who agreed upon the fixed fee of 35000 rupees and submitted affidavit in this connection.

Meanwhile the High Court stayed the online procedure decreed by the government declaring it as impractical for the current year. As per the government’s GOs 66 and 67, private engineering colleges were required to fill management seats on the basis of applications received online.
