History of India is linked with Urdu language. It played a major role in the freedom struggle of India. Today, Govt. is doing politics in the name of Urdu. It is making lofty claims about the development of Urdu which are not enough. Urdu language can not progress by writing the names of departments and shops in Urdu. By taking oaths in Urud in the portals of legislatures also Urdu can’t be developed. Urdu language could be developed only when the syllabus of Urdu is made compulsory right from school level and Urdu teachers appointed to teach Urdu in schools.
These thoughts were expressed by TDP leader. Mr. Ali Bin Sayeed-Al-Katmi. He pointed out that it has been the conspiracy of the Britishers that if a nation is to be subdued, its mother tongue should be vanished. Exactly the same attitude is being adopted by the Congress Govt. The funds allocated for the development of Urdu are being utilized for some other purpose.
It is injustice to Urdu. He told that in the next years election manifesto development of Urdu will also be included and TDP will make efforts to develop it.
