The issue of Palestine is a humanitarian problem. All the people of the entire world should rise above regional and religious levels to condemn the atrocities of Israel meted out to the people of Palestine.
The property of the Palestinians should be handed over to Palestinians. RSS and VHP are the organizations of our country which represent the interests of Isreal in India. Indians should understand clearly that RSS is the biggest enemy of Hindu religion. It is the result of these organizations that the higher officials in police and judiciary pronounce their judgments on the basis of religion. They imprison the innocent Muslim youths for years without filing any charge sheet in the courts. In this way, they cause injustice to the lives of many innocent Muslims.
These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Ajeet Sahi former Editor of Tehelka, while addressing a gathering which had assembled at Indira Park after a token one mile march to express solidarity to the participants of Global Peace March to Jerusalem.
Mr. Ajeet Sahi congratulated students’ Islamic Organisation of India for arranging one mile token Peace March. Mr. Sahi said that the people of Palestine are leading the life which is free from the fear of death. This is because of their faith in Islam. They are not afraid of the cruel behaviour of Israel. He promised that he would communicate the sentiments of solidarity expressed in Hyderabad to the people of Palestine. The programme started with the recitation of the Quranic verses.
In his inaugural speech Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan condemned the partisan attitude of the national media. He quoted the news coverage of Media by saying that when an innocent child falls into a borewell, media telecasts this news item for 24 hours but when thousands of other innocent people are being killed, media does not show its concern.
MR. Muthu Krishnan, Journalist and Social Activist who is going to participate in the Global peace March to Jerusalem told that I recollect your sentiments for the people of Gaza. He urged the Govt. of India to reconsider its diplomatic relations with Israel.
Dr. Mohammed Khalid Mubashiruz Zafar, former President of Students Islamic Organisation and presently functioning as the Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami of the city of Hyderabad led the token Peace March. He said that through its projects, Israel is shaking the foundations of Masjid-e-Aqsa. He warned that if we keep quiet, Israel will fulfill its evil designs. He congratulated the organizers of Peace March arranged by SIO and friends of Palestine. He stressed the need to raise our voice against the terrorism of Israel.
Brother Nazeer, Convener of the march highlighted the activities of the Friends of Palestine. He said that the objective of the one mile march is to express our support and solidarity to the participants of the Global Peace March. Brother S. Rizvi President SIO presented the resolution addressing the Govt. of India to exert its pressure to end cruelty on Pelestinians.
