Describing the Dadri incident as an attempt to polarise votes ahead of Bihar polls, Rashtriya Ulema Council today said the UP government should resign if it was “helpless” in checking elements who foment communal tension.
National president of the Council, Maulana Aamir Rashadi, alleged that both SP and BJP are together.
“The onus of communal incidents is put on the BJP and RSS… I have a question for UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav… If BJP and RSS are so strong under their government they should hand over power to them…The reality is that both SP and BJP are together in the game of communalism.”
“It is true that communal forces are playing a henious game but the SP government is the real culprit for such incidents in the state,” he said.
Rashadi had contested the last Lok Sabha polls against SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav from Azamgarh.
Referring the Dadri incident as an attempt to polarise votes in view of the Bihar polls, Rashadi also questioned the Samajwadi Party for breaking away from the grand alliance.
On senior SP leader Azam Khan approaching the United Nations, Rashadi said it is misleading.
“Khan does not have the faith in his own government and so had to knock the doors of UN for getting justice,” he added.
