Honorary President of YSR Congress, Ms. Vijayamma alleged that the Congress Govt. of A.P., in order to express its anger on late Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy, is taking revenge with the poor students by abolishing the scheme of fees reimbursement to professional college students. She told that if TDP moves ‘No Confidence Movement’ against the Congress Govt., YSR Congress Party would extend its support. She expressed these views while talking to newsmen at the end of her two-day hunger strike on the issue of fees reimbursement. Dharna and other agitation programmes are being organized in various districts to support Ms. Vijayamma’s campaign. She told that the state budget was less during the tenure of office of Dr. YSR but even then he implemented fees reimbursement scheme to benefit the poor students.
Today, the state budget has reached Rs.1, 30, 00 crore but the Govt. is not prepared to implement this scheme. Congress Govt. is abandoning the schemes proposed by Dr. Y.S.R. Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy had organized protest for one week and she has also recorded in Eluru. The purpose of her protest is to force the Govt. to review its decision in the interest of the students.
