Government has agreed to set up Study Circles and Career Guidance Cell for the minority students in the city and districts to guide them for appearing in competitive exams and for getting jobs in govt. or non-govt. institutions. Answering to the demand for welfare in the state assembly, Finance Minister E Rajender told that the government was serious for the educational and economic development of minorities and soon the Waqf Board would be given judicial powers to protect Waqf properties.
Mr. Rajender told that notification for pre matric and post matric scholarships would be soon issued for minority students. He argued that delay in finalizing the conditions for new FAST scheme created difficulties in accepting the scholarship applications. He assured that no deserving minority student would be deprived of the scholarship and fee reimbursement.
